Covid-19 vaccination clinics and drop-ins

Covid-19 vaccination clinics and drop-ins

There are three ways to get your Covid-19 vaccine in Knowsley - you can visit a drop-in clinic, make an appoinment online, or call 119.

For any local residents who are struggling to get to a drop-in clinic or a pre-booked appointment, Healthwatch Knowsley is able to provide a taxi service. To access this support, residents can call 0151 449 3954 - lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and 10am to 5pm at weekends.

Making an appointment

Everyone aged 16 and over can make a pre-bookable appointment for their Covid-19 vaccine now at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119.

Through the booking system the following clinics are available in Knowsley:

  • Pharmacy 2U, Village Hotel, Whiston, L35 1RZ
  • Davey's Chemist, Huyton, L36 2NS
  • Superdrug, Huyton, L36 9UJ

You’ll be offered appointments based on current availability near to you. If a vaccination site doesn’t have any appointments, it won’t appear in your search results, but new appointments are being added all the time, so if you can’t find a time or location that suits you, just check again the next day.

Drop-in clinics

Anyone aged 16 and over can get vaccinated at a drop-in clinic without an appointment, unless stated otherwise.

You can have your second dose if it has been at least eight weeks since the first dose. However, please don’t attend a drop-in session if you’ve already got an appointment booked at another site without cancelling it first.

All vaccination sites have access to a single patient database, so you don’t need to go to the same place for both your doses; you can visit a different site for your second dose if that works better for you. This also means you can have a booked appointment for one dose, but use a drop-in for your second, if you prefer.

If you have recently tested positive for Covid-19, you must wait at least four weeks (28 days) after the onset of symptoms or from the first positive test before attending a drop-in clinic.

Please note: Queue times will vary, and you might have to wait longer at some drop-in sessions when there’s lots of demand.
