Who we are?

NHS Knowsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for planning, designing, buying and paying for your NHS services. This is known as commissioning. We need to use information about you to enable us to do this effectively, efficiently and safely.

Knowsley CCG commissions most of the hospital and community NHS services for people who are registered with a GP in Knowsley as well as some services for people who are not. We also have delegated responsibility for commissioning General Practice services within Knowsley. Services that we commission include: 

  •  Planned hospital care
  •  Urgent and emergency care (including out-of-hours services, A&E, ambulance and NHS 111)
  • Community health services (such as rehabilitation services, speech and language therapy, continence services, wheelchair services, and home oxygen services)
  • Specialist community services (including COPD, diabetes, CVD)
  • Healthcare services (including services for children, services for older people, services for people with mental health conditions, services for people with learning disabilities and continuing healthcare)
  • Maternity and newborn services
  • Infertility services
  • Abortion services
  •  Treatment of infectious disease

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as we process personal and special categories of information under Data Protection Legislation and our registration number is Z3650579.
