GP Practices and Health Emergencies

GP practices will be closed over the Bank Holiday and pharmacies will be either closed or have limited opening hours. NHS walk-in centres will be open over the Bank Holiday but operating at a reduced service.

Always call 999 if you or someone you know experiences a life-threatening physical or mental health emergency.

For all other medical help or advice on Monday 25th May, you should use the NHS 111 service.

Let’s work together to keep emergency services, including A&E, free for those who need it.

NHS 111

If you’re unsure which service is right for you, go to www.111.nhs.uk where you can get medical advice and signposting to the most appropriate service.

You can also use the NHS 111 call centre where you can talk about your symptoms or concerns to a highly trained call handler.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

For any minor ailments such as colds, sprains and strains and a sore throat visit the www.selfcareforum.org for information on how you can treat these.
