Equality Delivery System (EDS2)

We have adopted the Equality Delivery System (EDS2) as our performance toolkit to support us in demonstrating our compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty. The Equality Delivery System2 (EDS2) is a tool-kit that supports the CCG to improve the services we provide for our local communities, consider health inequalities in our locality and provide better working environments, free of discrimination, for those who work with us in the NHS.

The EDS2 has four goals key goals (with 18 specific outcomes) achieving better outcomes, improving patient access and experience, developing a representative and supported workforce and finally, demonstration of inclusive leadership. We have used our EDS 2 toolkit to develop a plan to improve access and outcomes for people who share protected characteristics. Our NHS EDS 2 summary report below highlights some of the work we have undertaken and highlights our process and approach.
