CCG Rated ‘GOOD’ once again

NHS Knowsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been rated as ‘GOOD’.

Each year, NHS England assesses the performance of all CCG’s against a series of indicators contained within a framework known as the ‘Improvement and Assessment Framework’ (IAF). Each CCG then receives an overall performance rating in one of four categories: outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate.

The CCG has once again been rated as ‘GOOD’, continuing the CCG’s track record of having achieved this rating every year since the CCG IAF was introduced.

In its assessment, NHS England congratulated Knowsley CCG on the progress it had made during the year, and highlighted the CCG’s success in sustained delivery. The report also commended the CCG on its financial performance during 2018/19.

Dr Andrew Pryce, GP and Chair of NHS Knowsley CCG said:

“I would like to congratulate and thank everyone involved for helping us to achieve this rating during yet another challenging year for the NHS. Our staff and member practices have worked tirelessly – often under acute pressure and increasing demand – to ensure the Knowsley population receive high quality healthcare services.

“I am very proud of the work that has been done to improve the health and wellbeing for local people, and that the quality of this work has been recognised.”

Dianne Johnson, Chief Executive of NHS Knowsley CCG added:

“I am delighted that NHS Knowsley CCG has once again achieved a ‘good’ rating from NHS England.

“This rating reflects the hard work and commitment that our staff continually put in to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for patients and the public across the borough.”
